One of the most coveted designers, Chanel, debuted its Autumn 2010 clothing line earlier this March at the Paris Fashion Week. In an attempt to show that fashion could be compassionate and stylish, Chanel featured faux-fur designs. Some of the fake fur accessories included long-haired boots, fur collars and trims.

If you’re into real fur like Kelly from The Real Housewives of New York City show on Bravo (I watched that last night), you will not be unhappy with the faux alternative. I have a fake fur vest and cape as well as a jacket for winter that I love to wear, and it makes me feel good when people ask me whether it’s real because they’re always surprised that it’s fake! So before you buy another real fur piece, consider the animal who really needed to wear it.
